Services

If you or your child are having difficulties in school, at work, or with personal relationships, we can help you overcome these challenges and create a more positive life.

Our Licensed Psychologists and other professionals at the ApaCenter have a wide range of expertise to help you or your child capitalize on strengths, work through difficulties, and reach goals.

We work with children, adolescents, and adults, tailoring our services to meet each individual’s needs. Extensive research and real-world success have proven the effectiveness of our techniques.

We offer a wide variety of services, which generally fall within one of the following three categories:

  1. Assessments - If you or your child are struggling for unknown reasons, particularly when these struggles affect educational performance and functioning, a psychological assessment can give you answers and direction.  Our assessments provide a comprehensive understanding of strengths and weaknesses, an accurate diagnosis, and tailored recommendations. They also help inform appropriate educational placement, programming, interventions, and accommodations (e.g., extended time on standardized tests).
  2. Therapy – Within a client-centered philosophy, we use scientifically-proven methods, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, positive psychology principles, and solution-oriented therapy. We offer counseling for individuals (from children through adults), couples, and families.
  3. Educational Support -  If you or your child are experiencing difficulties in school or college, we can consult with you to explore options and act as an advocate on your behalf to help you or your child gain access to services and accommodations to which you may be entitled.

We encourage you to browse the material on our website to help you decide which of our services is the best fit for you or your child. If you are still uncertain, please contact us at (512) 891-1500. We will help you determine which service can best address your needs, or we can schedule a consultation with one of our Licensed Psychologists or other professionals to assist you further.
