The Austin Psychology & Assessment Center (APACenter) has an opening for a post-doctoral resident position to start between August and September of 2020. The candidate must have completed their doctoral degree before beginning their postdoctoral training. At a minimum, candidates must have completed all requirements for the doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning, including an internship meeting APPIC, APA or CPA standards. Candidates with a strong background in administering comprehensive psychological evaluations to all age ranges are preferred, but experience conducting assessments of school-aged children and adolescents is required.
Qualified applicants will also have experience conducting individual psychotherapy using evidence-based treatments, preferably with a broad range of ages and clientele. Special expertise in the areas of parent training, family therapy, neuropsychological assessments, school-based assessments, autism spectrum disorders, and/or ADHD interventions would be beneficial. The post-doctoral resident position will require a minimum of 40 hours per week. Licensed Psychologists who are also Licensed Specialists in School Psychology will supervise the post-doctoral resident. There is a possibility that a part-time position would be available, so candidates who prefer that option should still apply. The post-doctoral resident will have the opportunity to participate in monthly didactics, weekly case consultation, and group supervision. Other duties may include writing blogs, researching topics of interest, or assisting in the maintenance and ordering of materials. The salary is competitive. More information about our practice can be found at www.APACenter.com. Interested candidates should send their CV and a letter of interest to drlauraframe@apacenter.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
