About Christina Sabisch
I have over 21 years of experience helping adults, couples and families find and develop their strengths and the most beneficial coping skills in their areas of need. I have worked therapeutically with clients in schools, community agencies, and clinical environments.
My work at a bereavement center, psychiatric treatment facility, children’s home, ADHD clinic, and within the schools has taught me how resilient people can be as they face enormous challenges. In addition, I have a diversity of training that has equipped me to serve the psychological needs of all ages from wide-ranging backgrounds.
Therapy Approach
Many of us experience problems and hardships personally or with a family member that can cause distress. This is when a qualified therapy partner can help provide the environment and the expertise to help you navigate these complex life struggles. This partnership philosophy leads to tangible results with couples, adolescents, and families. My approach for individuals uses goal-oriented interventions that stem from cognitive/behavioral and solution-focused models to work together to overcome obstacles that are occurring in key life areas. For couples, my approach is based on the Gottman Institute couples research and interventions. This approach uses a detailed couples’ assessment and practical strategies that help you develop a more meaningful and satisfying relationship. For family work, I rely on interactive techniques such as play, art, and journaling , to help family members understand and learn skills to handle the difficulties you are experiencing. This process looks at past and present stressors and helps you develop interpersonal awareness and strategies that bring timely and satisfying results.
