Speech & Language Services
Our primary areas of specialty are providing evaluation and treatment for children in need of occupational therapy and/or speech-language pathology services. Our therapists all have a strong core education and background in their area of specialty. In addition, the therapists at KidVentures hold many higher level certifications and have specialty training in a variety of areas, including the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT certification), Therapeutic Listening, Handwriting Without Tears, vision therapy, pet-assisted therapy, PROMPT, Zoo-phonics, Beckman Oral Motor assessment and intervention, and Talk Tools.
KidVentures offers several camps and group programs, which are available to clients and to children who are not clients, but may benefit from attending a group activity in a supportive environment. Some of the camps and groups offered at KidVentures include pragmatics and social skills groups, bike riding group, handwriting and phonics camps, a social outings group, winter/summer/spring camps, and food school.
The staff at KidVentures is committed to improving the lives of the children we work with. One of the ways we accomplish this is by providing inservices and presentations to parent groups, teachers, and other professionals on a range of topics within the realms of occupational therapy and speech-language pathology.
Academic Therapy Center is a practice in South Austin specializing in dyslexia, reading and written expression therapy. Our mission is to ensure the success of each client in academic areas and provide support and information on dyslexia and related disorders to promote understanding, education, and academic achievement for each student. We are Academic Language Therapists with the highest level training in dyslexia and related disorders. All staff members are licensed, certified, or actively pursuing licensure/certification. Our office provides a therapeutic environment free from the distractions presented in many school-based dyslexia and reading interventions, and we offer individual and small group sessions. Parents are given step-by-step guidance in how to support their child at home to get the most out of therapy. We offer a free initial consultation to discuss your child’s needs and create a personalized path to academic success.
Austin Area Speech & Language Services is a small personalized private practice that makes great effort to provide professional expertise and individualized treatment for children and adults with a variety of speech and language issues. We pride ourselves on our ability to combine excellent skills in a comfortable environment with very accessible and friendly therapists. All of our therapists are certified Speech-Language Pathologists with Masters’ degrees in the field and no less than five years of experience.

-Free Screenings to determine if your child is in need of Speech, Social or Occupational Therapy.
-Extensive individual evaluations to determine your child’s needs, and we design their personalized plan of care.
-Individual therapy sessions-Allow children to achieve their goals in a personalized session. The therapist will plan sessions with your child’s goals in mind and choose materials and activities that he/she will respond to best.
-Group therapy sessions-Utilize Social Thinking and social cognitive strategies (by Michelle Garcia Winner and others) to improve the social communication skills of children with peers and adults.
-Feeding Therapy/”Food School”- Individual or Group Therapy sessions to address feeding aversions that affect children’s daily lives based on SOS feeding approach by Dr. Kay Toomey.
-“Parent Talk Time” after every session to help parents feel connected with the therapist and understand what can be done at home to help their child progress.
Description: Big Sky Pediatric Therapy provides occupational, physical and speech therapy to children with special needs in a warm, comforting and family friendly atmosphere. Therapy Center of Buda is a pediatric therapy center providing compassionate speech-language and occupational therapy services to children and adolescents in Buda/Kyle/South Austin and surrounding areas. They provide personalized therapy programs that are non-diagnosis driven. All treatment sessions offer one-on-one intensive therapy with a licensed therapist. Additionally, they offer free consultations to identify if a comprehensive evaluation is warranted. Parents and/or Legal Guardians are provided comprehensive reports (including testing results, plan of care, and additional recommendations) after the formal evaluation and all results and recommendations are discussed.
