Schools
It is our goal to provide a loving, diverse, holistic, educational, and experiential environment for children in order to nurture, stimulate, and cultivate healthy minds, bodies, and souls. We aspire to attain this vision through the direction of experienced Montessori teachers and strong role models and through an understanding and practice of healthy, active lifestyles. We are committed to extensive ongoing academic training and professional development for our teachers and staff. We seek to provide a rich community environment for the families and extended family of Athena Montessori Academy through community festivals and events, field trips, parent workshops, our Parent Committee, classroom observations, and extracurricular classes both for children and for our parent community.
We understand that it is essential to work closely with parents to best support the children in the community. We offer training, workshops, and resources for our parent community and make ourselves available for questions, conferences, meetings, and observations. We know that the more educated our parents are about what we are doing in the classroom, our approach, our language, our redirection techniques, and our insights into the children, the more successful we will be in reaching our goals for the children—socially, emotionally, and academically. We encourage you to stay tuned to our Parent Resources page as we update it regularly with articles, book recommendations, and resources for counseling, occupational therapy and parent coaching.

Connecting students to a college that fits.
Collegewise is a college counseling company founded on the belief that the college process should be an enjoyable one for families and that the most selective colleges don’t have the market cornered on great college experiences. Students in our program are each assigned to a college counselor who guides them (without doing it for them) through every step of the college application process, from picking colleges, to filling out applications, to choosing the right stories for students’ college essays. Unless you believe that there are only twelve colleges on the planet worth attending (if you do, we’d like to tell you in the nicest way possible that we completely disagree), we can probably help you, too.
Fusion Academy is an accredited, non-traditional private school for grades 6-12. We offer students the opportunity to learn on their terms, on their schedule, and in their learning style—all in a one-to-one classroom.
Odyssey School was born in 1997, when three special education professionals recognized the need in Austin for a private school that would enable students with learning differences to experience academic success. Odyssey opened its doors in 1998 with nineteen students, two teachers, and a head of school. That first location, in the basement of the Marywood Child and Family Services building, was full of hope, excitement, and promise. The school quickly outgrew that first facility, and relocated to a converted dance studio in Central Austin. We stayed in that cramped Houston Street building for five years, until 2005, when the school moved to its current location on Red River Street. In its first years, Odyssey served elementary and middle school students with learning differences. In 2005, we earned our high school accreditation and in 2006 we became the first private high school in central Texas dedicated solely to students with learning differences. In 2009, Odyssey proudly conferred diplomas on its first class of graduating seniors. We look forward to continually refining our service to students of all ages with learning differences in the years to come.

All children learn best in multisensory learning environments. With the innovative, research-driven, multisensory instruction we provide, and integrated ALT to give them the skills they need to be proficient readers, our students not only learn and succeed, they flourish and excel.
The Magnolia School provides a fun, self-paced, individualized education for children starting at age 3 and growing to 13. Children work at the level that is right for them in each subject and are assessed regularly to ensure that they are learning at the right pace. We strive to build a strong academic foundation for all students and are able to provide students with an education tailored to their needs. Whether a student is advanced in an area and would like to continue to progress or struggles with a subject and needs additional instruction we can provide effective educational practices for both.
