Fees for therapy and consultation at the ApaCenter are competitive given the high level of expertise of our practitioners and the quality of our services. ApaCenter services are generally self-pay. This allows you to have the maximum control of your records and privacy as well as freedom of choice in selecting who provides the services that you or your child receives. Most of our licensed professionals are also insurance providers within the Seton Health Plan.
FEES FOR THERAPY AND CONSULTATION
The ApaCenter offers therapy and consultation at standard and reduced rates. Our standard fee for individual therapy or consultation with a Licensed Psychologist or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker is: $250 for the initial 90-minute intake session. If you decide to pursue therapy or consultation, individual sessions with most of our licensed professionals are 50 minutes and $175. Fees for Dr. Mike Brooks are $250 for the 90-minute intake session and $200 for individual therapy sessions. Couples therapy sessions with Christina Sabisch, LCSW, have a different fee structure. Please contact us for those details.
REDUCED FEES FOR THERAPY AND CONSULTATION
Some practitioners at the ApaCenter provide therapy, consultation, and parent and ADHD coaching at reduced rates. These are with our Post-Doctoral Psychology Resident, parent coach, and behavior specialist. Their fees are $175 for the intake session and $125 for standard sessions.
INSURANCE
If you decide to pursue reimbursement from an insurance company other than the Seton Health Plan, the ApaCenter would be considered an “out of network” provider. We will provide you with an invoice for the services that you receive that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. The ApaCenter does not guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse you for services because plans vary considerably. Please note that insurance companies might reimburse for sessions conducted by Post-Doctoral Psychology Residents. They will not reimburse for parent or ADHD coaching.
DARS
The ApaCenter also offers therapy for persons who are eligible for benefits through the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS). An intern or resident will provide these therapy services under the supervision of Dr. Mike Brooks. Before scheduling an appointment with us, please contact your counselor at DARS to formally get these services approved.
If you would like to set up an initial therapy appointment, please contact us at (512) 891-1500. Our office manager can help you select the most appropriate ApaCenter psychologist or therapist based on the goals and needs of you or your child. You can also view the therapists’ statements, which includes treatment philosophies, types of issues addressed, and availability.
