About Dr. Bates
Having worked with children in various capacities for most of my life, I truly consider myself an advocate for them and their families. I have specialized training in the assessment of children and adolescents and experience working in schools, juvenile justice programs, community mental health centers, and private practice settings. My areas of expertise in assessment include emotional and behavioral functioning, learning disabilities, and ADD/ADHD. I also have a background in child development and experience in assessment of emotional and behavioral problems in young children. I believe that assessment involves working together to identify children’s strengths, as well as areas in which they may need extra support, in order to help them succeed.
