Since 1967, Austin Recovery has provided effective, compassionate, and affordable drug and alcohol treatment for individuals, families and communities. Our transformational treatment model incorporates a broad range of techniques including individual and small group counseling with licensed clinicians, experiential therapies, 12 step work, and a comprehensive evidence-based curriculum. Our treatment aims to bring about the in-depth cognitive, behavioral and spiritual changes that are essential for overcoming addiction. Clients gain a new freedom and a life full of promise as they embark on personal journeys of recovery. We provide a medical detox to ensure a safe physical experience transitioning away from dangerous substances for those in need, followed by 30 and 90 day residential treatment options for both men and women, intensive outpatient, aftercare services, and a vibrant alumni association. We also have an innovative program called “Family House” where we provide residential treatment for mothers WITH their young children. These moms and kids benefit from both recovery services and intensive parenting education, case management, and a therapeutic day-care for the children, which helps the entire family system heal from the pain of active addiction. Please contact us anytime for more information on the web at www.AustinRecovery.org or by phone: Toll Free (800)373-2081; Admissions: (512) 697-8600.

We offer home and community-based training in applied behavior analysis (ABA) to families of children with autism, Down syndrome, and other developmental disabilities ages 1.5-6. ABA is the science of changing behavior and can be used to prevent and reduce problem behavior as well as to teach new skills including language, communication, social, play, academic, and self-help skills. Using the principles of ABA, we teach families how to improve their child’s communication skills, prevent and reduce problem behaviors, teach self-help skills (e.g., independent eating, dressing, grooming, and toileting), and develop in-home therapy programs. Our services are different in that we transfer control to families through teaching them the same effective, research-based strategies used by therapists so they can teach their children throughout daily routines. Our mission is to empower and educate exceptional families as they support their children in achieving maximum independence.
