Fees
Fees for the ApaCenter services of assessments, therapy, and consultation are competitive given the high level of expertise of our practitioners and the quality of our services. Regarding insurance, we are providers for the Seton Health Plan (for therapy but not for assessments). We are not providers for Medicare/Medicaid.
If you have any other type of insurance other than the Seton Health Plan, we are considered an out-of-network provider. Importantly, this allows you to have the maximum control of your records and privacy as well as freedom of choice in selecting who provides the services that you or your child receives. We will work with you to help you obtain insurance reimbursement for our services. Most insurance companies do reimburse for out-of-network mental health services, but you will have to check with your particular plan as they vary.
Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts
If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), you are generally able to pay for therapy, consultation, and psychological assessment services from such accounts. In effect, this makes those services tax-deductible. Please check your specific HSA or FSA to see if any restrictions apply.

DARS
The ApaCenter offers therapy for persons who are eligible for benefits through the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS). An intern or resident provides these therapy services under the supervision of Licensed Psychologist Dr. Mike Brooks. Before scheduling an appointment with us, please contact your counselor at DARS to formally get these services approved.
