Assessments, What’s Next
How will I learn the assessment results?
The professional who completes the assessment will integrate the information obtained from the review of history, interview(s), and testing results and compile it into a comprehensive report. This process generally takes two to three weeks, depending on the nature of the referral questions and the complexity of the evaluation. You will then have a separate appointment (called the feedback session) during which the professional explains the assessment results, provides detailed recommendations, and answers any questions you might have. Our goal is to ensure that you understand the assessment results and know practical ways that you can apply them.
Do you send the results to me or to my child’s school?
You will receive a copy of the report for your use during the feedback session. If this was an assessment of your child, you may choose to take the report to his or her school at your convenience. Alternatively, you can sign a release form giving your permission for us to send a copy of the report to the school. We do not release assessment results to anyone without your signed consent.
